Straight Talk '24: Navigating the Smartphone Era was a live-streamed event that took place February 12 and featured top-notch panelists discussing how smartphones are impacting our children's minds, bodies, and classrooms.
We hope all attendees now feel more educated about the physiological effect of cellphones on children; more knowledgeable of recent research and studies on smartphone use; more understanding of pressures our children are facing; and more empowered to navigate how we use smartphones in our families and schools.

The Texas PTA Digital Safety pledge is our effort to create a safer digital world for students and families across Texas. We are dedicated to prioritizing and practicing healthy habits around smartphone usage, and urge Texas legislators to draft and support digital safety legislation to protect our children.
